Comparison to Hypnos mattress
I recently spent a night in a Premier Inn, which had a fabulous bed with a Hypnos pillow top mattress. They are apparently made to the hotel chain's specification. I've been told that Hypnos's nearest retail equivalents are Pillow Top Superior and Pillow Top Elite (both in medium tension). I'll be buying a king size mattress in the very near future and you come with lots of very positive recommendations. What do you make that might compare with Hypnos mattresses?

Hi John,
We do not make any mattresses comparable to those made by Hypnos. We also do not make pillow top mattresses.
The main reason for this is that the longevity of the mattress is, in our view, compromised by the inclusion of the pillow top. The pillow top will over time flatten and produce a less comfortable sleeping surface. When the pillow top has reached its limit, replacement of the whole mattress is required. In our view, it is far better to buy a pocket sprung mattress and add a separate decent topper. The separate topper can be laundered and will provide a protective surface to the mattress. The mattress will also be two-sided increasing its longevity.
Before making any suggestions regarding which mattress would be suitable, we would ask that you provide details of your body weight and that of any other party using the mattress together with an indication of your budget for this purchase.
