Equivalent to Kaymed Sleepspa
We are due to replace out 9 year old kaymed Sleepspa memory foam mattress over the next few weeks and I am frankly struggling to find something that is equivalent. The Kaymed has been a fantastic mattress lovely to sleep on and the “gel” which was in it was fantastic at regulating the heat making it always comfortable to sleep on and never to warm/hot.
Not sure whats happend to Kaymed but frankly I found it very difficult to source a UK stockist (apparently they are making beds for Bensons) but their website has become incredibly confusing and is full of more jargon than I can reasonably cope with. I’ve seen your site and range of beds/mattresses and am really impressed with the no nonsense straight talking approach so would be interested to know which of your range would provide the most comfort for us.
My wife is a fairly slight 8 stone whilst I’m an 18 stone 6ft 4 rugby player so we have a diverse spread of requirements, however the Kaymed sleepspa delviered a great nights sleep and everyone who slept on it said it was the best nights sleep they’d ever had. We didn’t skimp on the previous mattress and have no intention of skimping this time, I’m seeking high quality that will deliver superlative degree of comfort and support alongside good tempretur control/management..
I don’t know whether that is a combination of springs & memory foam, memory foam on it’s own, bags full of cotton wool and angel hair or something else entirely so your advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for getting in touch about the Kaymed mattress. I believe Kaymed went under a change of ownership a few years ago and it’s been a bit confusing for us as to what their position in the market is, whether they are now under another brand or still supplying their own mattresses.
I’d have a look at our Hybrid range, maybe the Hybrid 5 which would cope with the weight variance. it is hard to say it would be exactly like the Kaymed as you point out their information is very confusing. They will not give the density or makeup making the comparison to our foams almost impossible. Maybe if you try the Tempur sensation and Tempur cloud, then compare to the Kaymed you have, as the Hybrids are close to the Temper range in terms of feel but not materials. The materials in our Hybrid range are hybrid foams a bit like what Kaymed used to make. Confusing I know. We have a detailed article all about Tempur here if it helps.
The other option would be to look at our Fusion range which is solid core 100% natural latex, particularly the Fusion 4 which would accommodate both your weights and is breathable so doesn’t get too hot but is very progressive. You could try the Dunlopillo Mattresses which have a similar feel in comfort to our Fusion mattresses.
