TAKE OUR MATTRESS QUIZ

Hybrid 4 or Fusion 3

I am female 5ft 6in weigh 10 stone and a side sleeper. Have no specific back problems can be a bit stiff in the mornings but obviously I don’t want to buy a bed that will give me back ache! I have been looking at the Temper Cloud and the Dunlopillo Millenium in Furniture Village, like them both but can’t decide. Would I sink in as much on your hybrid as I did with the Tempur? Which would be the better option?

Good Morning Patricia,

Thank you for your question.

Our Hybrid 4 mattress compares with the Tempur Cloud 27 and at your body weight it’s going to give a more Medium to Soft feel.

Our Fusion range is constructed from 100% Natural Latex. This is a fully breathable material but Latex is generally a firmer feeling material so we always recommend testing it first. The Fusion 3 at your body weight will feel more Medium.

Latex will give a similar sink in sensation to memory foam but generally gives a different sensation overall. Both our Fusion and Hybrid ranges provide cool sleeping surfaces as neither rely on heat to adapt to your body movements.

I can’t really tell you which would be best for you as ‘best’ is a very subjective and personal term.

Hybrid Foam provides a more progressive sink feeling whereas Latex is more responsive.

If your back can be a bit stiff then you want to avoid any mattress that feels too firm as it will only serve to exacerbate those pains. As such either of those models will suit your needs.

I hope that this has answered your questions fully but if you do have any further queries then please don’t hesitate to contact the office on 0161 437 4419.

Kind Regards, Lee.
