Hi Brian,

Thank you for your enquiry.  With the bodyweights you have supplied we would pair you with a medium spring tension and your partner with a firm spring tension to give you both the correct level of support. This can be achieved in a one piece dual spring tension mattress (one side medium and one side firm) available in King Size and above in our Artisan range.

Pocket springs help reduce motion disturbance as they are individually pocketed so the springs are not joined together. The best we to eliminate being disturbed when each of you moves is a zip and link mattress. These are available in both our Origins and Artisan ranges in King Size and above.

As you are both side sleepers I would not recommend anything too firm in the upholstery layers as this can cause pressure pains in the shoulders, hips and knees.  Without knowing what your current mattress is, I am unable to say what is causing you both to get too hot, although if it is memory foam that would explain it.  Natural fibres offer the coolest sleep surface as they can wick away heat and moisture quicker than man-made fibres.

I hope this is helpful and if you would like any further information or would like to discuss the suitability of any of our mattresses please do not hesitate to contact the office on 0161 437 4419.

Kind Regards
Michaela
