What topper for Harrisons mattress?

Mrs Kench asked
7th November 2014

I am considering buying a topper for my Harrison mattress which is too firm for me.

I can feel the springs digging into hips and shoulder and is very uncomfortable.

I am 5 for 4 and weight 8 stone 5.

Because my bedroom is very cold in the winter due to 3 external walls, I use an electric blanket.

So my question is which topper is safe to use with the blanket please.

Hi Mrs Kench,

Sorry to hear your struggling with your firm mattress.

Whilst a topper can help soften the top layers of a mattress it won’t completely change the tension, it can however take the edges off and make a mattress more comfortable.

If you use an electric blanket I’d advise that any topper will soften when used with an electric blanket so bear this in mind.

You can use all our latex toppers with electric blankets.

The latex toppers will give the best comfort and support given you will also be using an electric blanket.

Memory foam and hybrid foam may soften too much with the heat from an electric blanket and are not recommended.
