Zip and link mattress questions
Hi John & Ryan. Excellent site - well done!
I have spent (wasted!) a great deal of money over the last 5 years on new mattresses, then a mattress topper, then bought a new divan + matching pocket sprung mattress (soft) only 2 years ago, and here we are searching for another solution. I just wish that I had seen your site 2 years ago. I am 18 stone, my wife is 8.5 stone. We both suffer from sore hips during a night's sleep and I also suffer from sore shoulders as well at night. Our current king size bed was expensive, but offers little comfort and also has annoying indents (your article on this subject was most illuminating). We have come to the conclusion that 2 x single matresses on a king size base, possibly as a zip&link is the solution. Any advice?
.
Hi David,
Thank you for your question.
The ziplink will be the solution, however it has to be put together with due consideration of weight difference.
The most important aspect for you is the support, whereas your wifes priority will be the comfort.
Please take a look at our Origins Pocket 1500. The Pocket 1500 is our best selling made in the UK man made and natural fibre mattress. Offering a quality 1500 pocket-spring unit and layers of fillings for a medium overall feeling.
Your bodyweight | This will feel |
---|---|
Under 10 Stone / 63kg | Medium |
10-12 Stone / 63-76kg | Medium |
12-14 Stone / 76-88kg | Medium |
14-16 Stone / 88-101kg | Medium |
16-18 Stone / 101-114kg | Soft to Medium |
18 Stone / 114kg Plus | Please call for advice |
With a body weight of 18 stones your partner will need to opt for the 2000 spring option for a slightly firmer support.
Hopefully this information is useful to you but should you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact the office on 0161 437 4419.
Kind regards,
Amy.
