Why Independent Reviews Matter to Us
The mattress industry has a problem with trust. Most large retailers and bed-in-a-box brands curate their testimonials, display only selected feedback on their own websites, or rely on review platforms they have commercial control over. We do not believe that serves the customer.
Both Trustpilot and Trustio operate independently of us. We cannot remove a negative review, delay its publication, or influence how our aggregate score is calculated. What you see is what every customer across our entire trading history has chosen to say about us, good or bad.
We are a member of the National Bed Federation, the UK trade body that holds manufacturers and retailers to independently audited standards covering product safety, ethical trading, and manufacturing quality. Common Themes in Our Reviews
We read every review we receive. Over 25 years of trading, a few themes come up consistently, and we think it is worth being transparent about what customers say both positively and occasionally critically.
The most common positive feedback centres on the quality of advice before purchase, the sleep improvement customers notice after switching from foam or retail mattresses, and the longevity of the mattresses themselves. Customers who have slept on an Artisan range mattress for eight or ten years and are returning to buy again are among our most rewarding reviews to read, because they confirm that what we put into these mattresses at the point of manufacture continues to deliver years later.
Where customers have raised concerns, these have most commonly related to delivery lead times on bespoke or specialist orders, where the time required to hand-make a mattress to individual specification is longer than next-day retail. We are not a warehouse picking orders off a shelf. Every mattress we make is built to order in Manchester, and that takes time. We try to communicate lead times clearly from the outset, and we work hard to meet every confirmed delivery date.
