Thank you for your enquiry on our website.  We recommend the Origins Comfort 1000 for children as it has the soft upholstery for comfort and with the medium spring tension as children need the firmer support whilst their bones are still growing.  This would also be supportive for an adult of average body weight and will be soft in the comfort layers.

You may need to purchase a mattress topper so that the feel is softer and as they get older you could remove the topper as their weight increases.
