Can a topper be used as a mattress?

Yes, you can use a topper directly on the floor but it will be rather uncomfortable without a mattress due to the fact that toppers are generally a maximum of about 7.5cm deep.

Toppers are generally used to add extra comfort layers to a firm mattress.
