Crikey...mattresses are a minefield!

Hoping you can help, we have seen one we like. It at £1800 it's more than we can pay really.... It was a dreams opulessence resplendent , though the cheaper body response synergy came in a close second.. Reason for change is our current sleepright 1500 silk seems to have given up the ghost after 7 years and I am struggling daily with sore hips and back despite only being 35!

I'm about 11 stone, hubby is 14 and we require a superking..can you work your magic?

Hi Paula,

Thanks for your question & providing that info,

At your body weights, you both need to be on a medium spring tension to be correctly supported. The spring tension is subjectively decided by your body weights.

Bodyweight Spring tension
Upto 16 Stone / 50-101kg Medium (1.4mm)
16 Stone / 101kg Upwards Firm (1.6mm)
Available in Bespoke Products (Please Call) Soft (1.2mm)

From there you would need to concentrate on the comfort layers of the mattress as this is where you will be able to achieve your desired firmness i.e (soft/med/firm). Your sleeping habits will also influence this decision as if you are a front sleeper you would require a mattress slightly firmer in the comfort layers to support the arch in your back which is created when laying on your front. But a firmer mattress can potentially create problems for someone that is a side sleeper as they may develop pressure point pains.

If you contact the office on 0161 437 4419 to discuss this, I would be happy to help.

Guy
