Hi Kevin,

Thanks for your question.

We would need to know the required size in order to give you a quotation of price.

As that is quite a firm mattress you are opting for we would need to know your body weights to discuss suitability as this is the only thing that determines spring tension;

Bodyweight Spring tension
Upto 16 Stone / 50-101kg Medium (1.4mm)
16 Stone / 101kg Upwards Firm (1.6mm)
Available in Bespoke Products (Please Call) Soft (1.2mm)

Our Origins Pocket 1500 / 2000 has a medium upholstery as standard providing a slight sink into that top layer but not too much.

The only thing that changes is the support level once you change the spring tension between 1500 and 2000.

Our Origins mattresses are generally paired with a solid platform top base as this will give the mattress a slightly firmer feel overall. However, this isn't to say you can't pair it with a different base.

A Pocket Sprung base will add extra support to the mattress as well as giving it a slightly softer feel.

I personally have the Pocket Sprung base paired with our Origins Comfort 1000 mattress and I absolutely love the feel of it; Ultimately, it's all about what you want from the bed.

I hope this has answered your questions fully but if you do have any further queries please don't hesitate to contact our office on 0161 437 4419.

Kind Regards, Lee.
