The Connoisseur Supreme is a mattress known as a "pillow top". We do not make nor recommend such mattresses as they have an inherent floor. Once the top flattens, you are unable to rejuvenate it meaning that the whole mattress needs replacing and in addition, the mattress is one-sided, which also has an impact on its longevity. A far better option would be a double sided mattress, which you can turn and rotate and if necessary, a separate topper. This means that if the topper does flatten over time, it is far less expensive to replace than the whole mattress.

Furthermore, the description of the Connoisseur is vague in the extreme and does not disclose the level of upholstery by way of GSM (grams per square metre), which makes any form of comparison impossible.

Your sleeping habits/personal preference will then determine how you would like the mattress to feel in the comfort layers. This is where you will achieve the feel you are looking for (soft/medium/firm). Do you know if you have a preference for a soft, medium or firm?
