Hypnos vs John Ryan - which is better value?

Hi,
I was just about to order a lovely new Hypnos mattress
But I thought to do some quick research first and came across your excellent website. Now I'm uncertain of what to go for...
You see I'm after a king size mattress and I think your origin mattress would be comparable to the Hypnos mattress in the link, however the Hypnos also offers a 'mattress topper''... Is that a good or bad thing in your view?
I think I already might Know the answer, but which mattress would you recommend and why.
