Thank you for your enquiry and we are impressed that you have managed to get 10 years out of a pillow topped mattress mainly for the reasons detailed in this article. We do not make any pillow topped mattresses and are only able to advise you upon the mattresses within our ranges and as the details of the construction and upholstery used in your old mattress are no longer available, it is impossible to provide a direct comparison.

We note that you have not indicated the size your require and so, will base our advice upon a king size. You both fall within the weight bracket, which would dictate a medium spring tension/feel mattress would be most suitable. and I have provided a link here explaining this in more detail. If your existing base is in good order there is no need to replace it when you replace your mattress and a sprung base such as the one you have will have the effect of making the mattress placed upon it feel slightly more forgiving.

We have two ranges, from which you may wish to select a replacement, the first being our Origins range and we would suggest you view the Origins Pocket 1500, which will provide that overall medium feel required. This mattress has a pocket sprung unit with synthetic upholstery. Alternatively, if your budget permits, please view the Artisan 1500, Artisan Tailored Pocket 2000 or the Artisan Naturals, all of which can have the spring tension selected as medium and have naturals upholstery, although the 1500 has a mix of synthetic and natural.
