Which mattress for a firm-ish feel, and a slatted base?

My husband and I prefer a firm-ish mattress. Could you please recommend. I am 10st & 5'1 and my husband is 12st & 5'9. We have a slatted bed frame and I intend to take your advice on putting the MDF underneath the new mattress.
Looking to buy just the mattress but may consider a divan as well. I find that the divan's tend to make a lot of noise during movement! Is this the case or was it just a bad divan that we used to have??

Thanks for your question.
Your slatted base will be fine to use with our pocket spring mattresses, as long as the slats are no more than 3" apart. If they are more than 3" then you will need to board over the base.
The Origins Reflex mattress has the firmer feel upholstery in that range, with a good medium support spring which is the correct support level at both your body weights.
