Mattress for a metal bed frame

A customer asked

We are buying a Serene Camilla kingsize metal bedframe. We have limited access up the stairs to a bedroom in a small cottage. Would a king size zip and link mattress be OK on it?

We like a fairly firm mattress. Can you suggest a mattress that would fit the bill please?

Hi Sarah,#

Thank you for your question.

A Kingsize Zip and Link mattress is made up of two 2'6 x 6'6 size mattresses that make a standard king size of 5' x 6'6". You will need to contact the company you are purchasing the base from to ensure that it is indeed a standard UK Kingsize.

The Artisan Bespoke is the firmest model from our Artisan range.

Artisan Bespoke mattress

This is a mattress made up of 100% natural fibres! It will cost £2465.00 for a King Zip and Link.

The Origins Pocket Reflex 1000 is one of the firmest feel models in the Origins range. This pocket-sprung hand made mattress gives a medium support with firmer top layers; the excellent ‘all rounder’. It will cost £670.00 for a king Zip and Link.

The Origins range is predominantly synthetic fibre hence why it is much cheaper than our Artisan range which utilizes mainly natural fibres.

In order for me to make a suitable suggestion for yourself I will first need to know your budget, preference in fibre content and your sleeping habits (side sleeper/ front sleeper)

Please contact the office on 0161 437 4419 with this information at the ready and our lovely team of advisors will be happy to help you.

Kind regards,
Amy.
