Memory foam topper

Hi can you tell me why one side of a topper is ribbed and one side is flat and which way should it be used please

Is this one of our John Ryan Toppers?
We do not sell a Memory Foam topper in particular but i can tell you that all three of our toppers are fully turnable so you can utilise either side.
