Why change our mattress?
Our Vispring Herald divan set is about 26 years old. lt has a 30 year guarantee (not 8 year as all the adverts tell you is a mattresses life) so I’m not sure what that means! OK it is a lot softer where the hips go and dips a bit there. And you can just feel the springs if you press in the same area of the divan. We’re side sleepers and although we may toss and turn a bit, doesnt everyone move about 100 times a night? Yes, I get back ache and shoulder ache, but cant see why this is the mattresses fault. Recently rolled around on beds in store - ended up with a no-flip Hypnos Stokers Knightsbridge (ours is too heavy to flip any more). But on returning home couldnt really work out what was wrong with ours! We’re 67yrs and 82kg, 71yrs and 58kg. Cannot decide whether to buy a new one...
Hi Jon,
Thank you for your question.
In short, there is no need to change your mattress if it is still performing to a suitable standard for you regardless of what some retailers may say. If your mattress has a 30 year guarantee, with the correct care and maintenance it is possible that you can expect this longevity.
We compare our Artisan Bespoke to the Vi Spring Herald. It does not come with a 30 year guarantee but it comes with a 10 year guarantee and we advise that with the correct care an maintenance of the mattress you could expect 15+ years of use.
I hope this helps, if you have any further questions please do not hesitate to call the office on 0161 437 4419.
Kind regards,
Amy
