Zip and links make an excellent choice for people who either have access issues, struggle to turn a one-piece mattress or sleepers that are different bodyweights that may need two different spring tensions.

Can I add a mattress topper to a zip & link mattress?

Yes, you can add a topper to a zip and link mattress if you so wish. What we would advise is that you hold off from buying a topper until you've had the mattress a week or so as you will probably find that you don't need one.

Some people also ask can you feel the zips. Most people won't even know they are there as the zips are recessed making them hidden.

Do zip and link mattresses fit any standard UK bed base size?

The answer again is yes they will fit any companies standard UK equivalent sizes. You can see mattress sizes and weights here.

Does John Ryan By Design make Ottoman Bases?

Unfortunately, we discontinued our Ottoman bases a year ago, due to lack of demand. Our mattresses are suitable with all other retailers Ottomans though. You just need to make sure their gas struts are strong enough to lift out mattresses. As we put so much upholstery in them they are quite heavy!
