Hello. I need a bespoke mattress to fit a queen-size bed.

My husband fidgets and it's driving me crazy at night!

Is this possible?

If so how much will it cost?

Thank you

Hi Janine,

Thanks for getting in touch and sorry to hear your partners night time fidgeting is keeping you awake!

Queen size mattresses are not a standard UK size and are more frequently seen in the USA. A queen size mattress measures 152 cm × 198 cm (60 in × 78 in) which is slightly shorter than a UK Kingsize mattress which measures150cm x 200cm (5ft x 6'6). The queen bed is 2cm wider. You can view all the bed sizes in this handy mattress guide.

We can make you a queen size bed under our bespoke mattress making service, which we can quote for based on the model. You would need to provide some more specifics for which mattress you are looking at and then we can guide you to the most suitable model for your needs.

To help you choose a new mattress we have a handy guide below as well as three articles on how your sleeping position will impact the mattress choices you have.

Dealing with fidgety sleepers:

Sleeping next to someone who fidgets can be a real pain! The best way to deal with this is to choose a pocket spring mattress which helps isolate movement and transference. Compared to the open coil one-piece sprung mattresses.
The next tip is to choose a zip and link mattress. Meaning two mattresses zipped together which drastically reduces movements from one sleeper echoing over to the other. You can't feel the zips as they are recessed and it also makes turning the mattress super easy!

We can make all of our Artisan range in bespoke sizes and zip and link models.

We hope that helps Janine and if you have any more mattress related questions please get back in touch on info@localhost or 0161 437 4419.

Sleep well
John & Ryan
