Unfortunately Hypnos are quite secretive with regard to their mattresses and do not specify the exact number of springs contained within them.   Most mattresses that contains springs will be 8 turn and would be either spunbond pocket springs or calico encased pocket springs What are mattress Pocket Springs made from?

When looking at a pocket sprung mattress, you need to ensure that the tension of the spring is correct at your body weights and heights as those springs need to move when you move in order to create that support.   It is also important to ensure that the fibres which are on top of those springs also provide the correct level of comfort so if you are a side and back sleeper you need either soft or medium comfort and if a front sleeper, then those comfort layers need to be firmer.

It is also very important to check the GSM of those fibres (grams per square metre) as this will tell you the quality of the mattress.   Most Bed Companies say this is a trade secret but here at John Ryan by Design Ltd we feel this is very important and advise exactly what is contained within our mattresses as most mattresses these days are an expensive purchase.
