Considering buying an origins pocket 1500

We're considering an origins pocket 1500 mattress and hoping to buy asap; and if at all possible receive the mattress by Sat 9th Jan? However, we also want to make sure that we've made the right choice. We trying not to pay more than £600 and both prefer medium/firm mattresses in terms of support. However, we do like the feel of a softer/luxurious topper for comfort. Both of us have had niggling back issues. I have had issues with my lower back muscles because of too much time at a desk/computer with incorrect posture. My wife is currently pregnant (25 weeks) and had an existing issue with the lower vertebrae (frequent yoga resolves this but she is finding it more difficult now that she's reaching the later stages of pregnancy). If you have any suggestions regarding our current decision to buy a King size Origins Pocket 1500, we'd love to hear them before we buy. Kind regards, James and Mindy

Thank you for your question and apologies for the delay in response as we are closed until the 4th of January. I've just seen your email so thought I'd get in their early doors before we reopen tomorrow given the haste of your note.
I'd ideally need to know your weight to fully recommend a mattress. I will say however that the Origins 1500 will give a medium feel to anyone up to 15 stone before it starts to soften. It's within your price range in that size too. The mattresses in the Origins range all come with a medium spring tension. The springs in a mattress are there to give you support and that support is dictated by your body weight.

If you like the softer top feel then you could match this with a topper at some point in the future. I'd advise you do this after getting used to the mattress as you may find you don't need a topper after all and save some pennies! It normally takes about 5 weeks in order for your body to adjust to the feel of a new mattress.
Unfortunately in your case we wouldn't be able to get it to you by the 9th of January. We have a 4 week turnaround on our mattresses as they are all hand made here in the UK and we do not hold any stock as everything is made brand new from scratch.
