Artisan Bespoke weight of mattress

Please could you tell me the weight in Kg of your Artisan Bespoke in Kingsize? I am interested in making my own storage divan style bed with a slatted/pegboard top which hinges up with the assistance of gas struts, available online. I would imagine that the commercially made storage beds are designed to cope with much lighter mattresses. Do you have any experience of this?

The weight of the mattress you refer to is 59Kg and the weights of all our products can be found under the Understanding Beds section of this site.
I note your comments regarding the use of gas struts in a home made base and would suggest that you establish the tolerance for these struts prior to making a purchase of this or any other mattress.
You are correct in assuming that many of the mattresses supplied with these bases are of a lighter weight than the Artisan Bespoke.
