Turning a mattress with a topper

We have a new bed and mattress, the mattress having a "topper" on. The advice in the booklet we have received is to turn once a week, but how do you turn a mattress with a top?

Hi Tony,
Thank you for your question on our website. We do not recommend "pillow top" mattresses for many reasons, one being the inability to turn as they are one-sided, which can reduce the lifespan of the product. The advice booklet is clearly generic and is sent out with all purchases, and has not been amended for reference to pillow tops. All you can do with such a mattress is rotate it through 180 degrees so that each side of the sleep surface gets as much weight distribution and wear as the other.

Ideally, if a mattress topper is required, you would be better opting for a double-sided mattress with a separate topper. I hope that this helps, if you require any further information please do not hesitate to contact the office on 0161 437 4419.  Our office hours are 8 am - 8 pm Monday to Friday and 10 am - 4 pm Saturday and Sunday.

Kind Regards

Michaela
