I am 16 stones and 5ft 5, my partner is 15 stones at 5ft 1.
We are looking for a firmer mattress than what we have now
The current mattress has dipped in a few places and doesn't give us enough support.
I have slipped disc and need a bed which gives good back support,
Our base type is a sprung slatted base
Can I have some recommendations on some of your mattress please?

From the information you have supplied, I would suggest that you look at the Origins Pocket 1500, but with the 2000 spring option. This will provide you with both with a firmer feel, but I would recommend that you place some form of barrier, preferably 3-5mm MDF, between the mattress and the slats to provide the mattress with a uniform surface upon which to sit and to avoid any ridging or dipping occurring as result of the mattress pushing between the gaps in the slats.
