Thank you for your enquiry. A standard king size or super king size mattress is 6ft 6in long. I note that your husband is the same, so if you require a longer length, this can be made as a bespoke item in our Artisan range only, although as a bespoke item there would be an additional cost of 10% and it would not be covered under our '60 day love it or return it' guarantee. Our Artisan range have natural upholstery thus reducing the possibility of overheating.

With your body weights, I would have recommended a medium spring tension for you both, but I note that your husband likes a firmer feel. On that basis, I would suggest that you look at the Artisan 1500, which can be ordered in a medium spring tension, but is at the firm end of medium in the upholstery layers and for you, if this was too firm, you could apply a mattress topper. I would not recommend a firm spring tension for anyone under 17 st.
