I have a long standing Thoracic spine problem and at night the pain goes into my sides , the pressure of lying on my side in bed seems to make the problem worse so I believe it could be partly down to my mattress a Kozeesleep duchess 1500 pocket spring which is on the firm side. It is also some 7 years old. I am 6ft 2 inches and weigh around 15 stone .I have previously tried Tempur but hated it far too hot. Any advice you could give as to the best type of mattress would be welcomed. Thanks - Alan

Hi Alan

At your height and weight, a medium tension, in spring and upholstery feel, would be a much better level of support and comfort than anything too firm.

Bodyweight Spring tension
Upto 16 Stone / 50-101kg Medium (1.4mm)
16 Stone / 101kg Upwards Firm (1.6mm)
Available in Bespoke Products (Please Call) Soft (1.2mm)

If you tried Tempur, and liked the feel, but not the heat retention, you could look at the Hybrid foam and Solid Latex models on our site.

These products can be great for anyone suffering with joint or back pain, as they mould to your entire body shape, and relieve some of the pressure for those joints.

The good thing about them is that they are cooler than any Tempur product, and not as heat retentive.

If you require any further assistance please call the office.

Kind Regards Gary
