We note that your current mattress is a memory foam one and that you are experiencing all the problems associated with such products as detailed in the link attached. We do not sell memory foam mattresses and do not, on the whole, recommend them. We also note that you prefer and medium feel but with the weight differential, you really need to look at a split spring tension, firm for you and medium for your wife, although if you intend to lose weight, you could opt for a medium tension across the whole mattress.

If the split tension is chosen, this can be made in a king size and above in the Artisan Naturals and as far as the application of a topper is concerned, we would advocate that you use the mattress for at least 28 days before deciding upon whether you need one or not. To buy one at the same time as your mattress may turn out to be an unnecessary expense.

If you were to decide not to go for the Artisan Naturals and opt for the a mattress from the Origins range, then you would need to look at a zip and link set in the Origins Pocket 1500, which you would need to have with 2000 spring version on your half and the 1500 spring version on your wife's side. This would provide you both with an overall medium feel.
