Advice to find the correct mattress

My wife and I are looking to buy a new mattress. We are both tall (I am 6'7" and my wife is 5'11") and normal weight (I am ~15st, I do not generally ask my wife her weight...). I am looking for a more comfortable nights sleep and currently think that my mattress is to firm or is not allowing me to attain a correct sleeping 'posture' (spine alignment?). I have tried a few mattresses briefly in a shop and liked the concept and feel of the combination type mattress (pocket springs with softer memory foam/other padding layer on top) rather than purely pocket sprung or entirely memory foam. However, I am someone that generally feels 20 degrees warmer than my wife and am concerned by things I have read where people find memory foam etc very warm. We are pretty flexible on budget as long as we get a mattress that works for us. Any advice is welcome.

Thanks for getting in touch about a new mattress.
The issue with memory foam is, as you've stated, it gets incredibly warm. If you're already a warm sleeper we would advise you avoid it. There are far better latex alternatives out there with less heat retention.
Given your heights and weights we would recommend you have a look at the Artisan Bespoke 004 in a medium spring tension. We would need to know your wifes weight to advise fully but I've put a guess that she is in the medium weight range for the springs, you can find these on the product page of the Artisan Bespoke 004 to confirm. ;-)
The closest comparable model we can find to this Artisan Bespoke 004 is The Vi-Spring Regal Superb. There are of course a few minor differences between the two. For example in the Artisan Bespoke-004 there is an additional layer of Bamboo, we utilised pure horsetail rather than blending it with wool etc. but essentially the overall tension, spring quality, build and feel of this particular mattress can rightly be deemed as relatively similar.

The Natural fibres within this mattress will provide you with a cool sleep surface an eliminate any overheating problems which you suffer from.
If you still want that slow soft top feeling, you can always add a Natural Latex topper to it. It's far cooler than memory foam and is much more responsive. Lastly its 100% natural just like the Artisan Bespoke 004.
By doing that you will end up with a fantastic core mattress and softer top layer, both of which can be turned and rotated.
