Zip & link, is there such a thing as a 4' 6" and not Kingsize?

Delight to find an honest website and approach to buying a new bed/mattress. After many years we've decided we need a separate mattress system for our double bed. My wife is half my weight at about 7st while I am just over 14st! We sleep on opposite body sides, my being on my RH side as a rule usually changing overnight. If I sleep on my back I snore! Our current mattress is 15 years old and no it will come as no surprise since about age 55 I am at 61 now having recurring back and hip problems. We are desperate to find a suitable combination for each of us, my preference is for a firmish mattress while my wife likes a softer type.
I know a new mattress is needed as we swapped a new mattress from our spare double bed and I slept well for the first time in years but my wife did not!
What advice can you give us please.

The short answer to your question is no; Zip and Link mattresses are only available in king size and above.
In addition, one piece mattresses with a split spring tension to suit body weights are also only available in king size and above. The spring tension should be chosen to suit the weight and with the differential you have, you ought to be looking at soft for your wife and medium for yourself.

We are sorry to say that the only way to achieve your perfect match in sleeping may be to go up in size to a king size.
If you were able to do this, we would suggest that you view the Artisan Naturals or Artisan Bespoke 004, both of which can have the spring unit selected to suit and both of which can be made in a one piece with a soft one side and medium the other.
Both mattresses will provide the same feel in the upholstery with the Naturals having 85% natural upholstery and the 004 having 100%.
Notwithstanding the above, it may be worth considering opting for a medium tension across the whole and applying a mattress topper to soften the feel for your wife. In this way you could go for the double size.
