New Mattress for Iron Bed frame with slatted base

Wanting a really comfortable bed and potentially found your products. We've seen and felt a competitors product (Hypnos Orthos Cashmere) but if we can do better we would. We are looking at your Artisan Luxury Super Kingsize mattress to go on an Original Bed Co Glenshee frame. I am 5'9" (82kg)and my wife 5'2 46kg. We've had zip together mattressess before and not been happy with them, tending to find ourselves rolling to the middle ground!!! Neither of us have any particular ailments and we currently have a blindcarft ortho mattress from many years ago. Its very firm and took some getting used to, but it never feels/felt luxurious. Its difficult making decisions without seeing/feeling the product, but yiour guide has been the most helpful and comprehensive so far. Would a Medium spring tension in the range mentioned be what we are looking for? Also, we are in the far North of Scotland, so I'd like some infor on delivery - we might find it difficult to get upstairs due to the weight and bulk of the item - ideas? Thanks, Richard

The Artisan Luxury is the softest mattress that we make in the Artisan Range.
We can make this mattress with a medium spring tension although at your wife's body weight, we would have suggested a soft spring tension for her. If however she does prefer a slightly firmer tension then the medium spring for both of you would be fine.

My only concern would be that as you have both been sleeping on a very firm mattress you may find the Artisan Luxury too soft in those comfort layers. I would also suggest having a look at the Artisan Bespoke 004 which has a medium feel in those comfort layers making this mattress feel not too soft nor too firm.
Both of these mattresses can go onto a slatted base but it would firm both of these mattresses up. I have attached a link to a page on our website which explains about this.
We do deliver to Scotland but would need to know the exact postcode as depending on whereabouts in Scotland you are, would determine as to whether this would be a two man delivery service or one man only.
