Should I keep my existing Dunlopillo base with new mattress

I've got a Dunlopillo Royal Sovereign king size which is now about 15 years old. The mattress itself is heavily indented and getting uncomfortable. The base has a sprung edge as far as I can tell. Should I replace the base at the same time as the mattress?

Good Afternoon Peter,

Thank you for your question.  We compare our own Fusion 3 mattress with the Dunlopillo Royal Sovereign model.  This mattress is the softest latex that we offer as it has a topper included with it to soften down the overall feel.

In regards to your base, if it is still in good condition then normally we would say there is no need for it to be replaced at the same time as your mattress.  However,  our own Latex mattresses need to go on to a solid base; They can't go on to a slatted base as the latex will attempt to settle between the gaps causing indentation and damage to the mattress.   We wouldn't recommend a sprung edge base as our 100% natural solid core latex mattresses provide the best support when placed on a platform divan.

I hope this has answered your questions fully but if you do have any further queries then please don't hesitate to contact me on 0161 413 2965.  Our office hours are      8 am - 8 pm Monday to Friday and 10 am - 4 pm Saturday and Sunday.

Kind Regards

Michaela
