65kg and 5ft 8in, what mattress comfort should I go for?
Hi
I am a 65kg 5ft8 male, and I was wondering whether I should go for soft or medium firmness.
Thank you
Hi Roham,
Thank you for your question. The level of comfort you require depends on your sleep positions and comfort preferences. We do not recommend firm upholstery layers for side sleepers as this can cause pressure pain in your shoulders and hips. Likewise, we do not recommend soft upholstery for front and back sleepers as this can cause you to sink in too much which could create lower back pain.
If you are a combination sleeper we would recommend a medium level of comfort which is not too firm for side sleepers nor too soft for front and back sleepers. I would recommend looking at the Artisan Naturals or the Origins Pocket 1500.
The type of mattress you currently use can also affect your choice of mattress. For instance, if you are a side sleeper and you currently have a firm mattress and you like the overall feel, then a firmer medium comfort mattress, such as the Origins Reflex 1000 and the Artisan 1500, maybe more suitable.
Bodyweight | Spring tension |
---|---|
Upto 16 Stone / 50-101kg | Medium (1.4mm) |
16 Stone / 101kg Upwards | Firm (1.6mm) |
Available in Bespoke Products (Please Call) | Soft (1.2mm) |
At your height and body weight, we would pair you with the medium spring tension, providing the correct support level. This will allow your body to find its own level and not be forced into an unnatural position.
If you would like any further information or would like to discuss your individual needs please do not hesitate to contact the office on 0161 437 4419.
