bed materials
I am looking at the standee mattress which states is a natural mattress but on reading I see there is a layer of microfibre material in the mattress.
why are you putting a man made material into what you claim is a natural mattress??
regards sue
Hi Sue,
Thank you for your question. The Artisan range of mattresses are constructed with predominantly natural fibres which provide a cooler sleep surface and help you regulate your body temperature. They are also more durable so the lifespan of the mattress will be much longer.
We do have some 100% natural fibre mattresses within our range, the Artisan Luxury has a softer medium level of comfort, the Artisan Bespoke 004 has a true medium level of comfort and the Artisan Bespoke has a firm level of comfort. All of these mattresses also have vanadium-coated handmade calico pocket springs and are some of our top of the range mattresses.
We do try to cater to all budgets, by adding some manmade fibres to a mattress along with natural fibres, we have blended polyester with cotton in the Artisan Naturals mattress, which reduces the cost of these mattresses but they still provide the benefits of natural fibres. Our Origins range of mattresses is constructed with predominantly manmade fibres, however, these are made to the same high quality as the Artisan range.
Each of our mattresses is designed with a certain level of comfort in the upholstery layers, whether natural or man-made fibres. The GSM of each fibre and the way that they are layers creates the level of comfort. Based on your sleep positions and comfort preferences, we will determine which level of comfort is the most suitable for you. For example, we do not recommend firm upholstery layers for side sleepers or soft upholstery layers for front and back sleepers.
Bodyweight | Spring tension |
---|---|
Upto 16 Stone / 50-101kg | Medium (1.4mm) |
16 Stone / 101kg Upwards | Firm (1.6mm) |
Available in Bespoke Products (Please Call) | Soft (1.2mm) |
The support of a traditional mattress is provided by the pocket springs. Your height and body weight determine which spring tension will provide the correct level of support.
