Best mattress for a hot sleeper and cold sleeper?
We are looking for a new mattress. I get very hot but my husnand complains of being cold. He also suffers from neck and back pain. Plesse can you suggest which mattress would be best for us.
Hi Joanne,
Thank you for your question. Natural fibre mattresses, such as our Artisan range, provide a cooler sleep surface and help you regulate your body temperature. This means that the will help you to be cooler and your husband should feel warmer.
When looking for a new mattress, you should consider your sleep positions as well as how you would like the mattress to feel. We would not recommend a firm level of comfort for side sleepers as this can cause pressure pains in the shoulders and hips. Likewise, we do not recommend soft upholstery layers for front and back sleepers, if you sink in too much into the upholstery layers when sleeping on your front or back, it can cause lower back pain. If you are a combination of these, you could look at the Artisan Bespoke 004, which has a true medium level of comfort in the 100% natural upholstery layers. However, we would need more information from you to be able to make a recommendation.
Bodyweight | Spring tension |
---|---|
Upto 16 Stone / 50-101kg | Medium (1.4mm) |
16 Stone / 101kg Upwards | Firm (1.6mm) |
Available in Bespoke Products (Please Call) | Soft (1.2mm) |
The pocket springs within the mattress are there to provide you with support. The level of support you require is based on your height and body weight. A medium spring tension supports body weights up to 17 stone depending on your height, and the firm spring tension supports body weights between 17 stone and 23 stone.
I hope this helps, and if you would like any further information or would like to discuss your individual needs, please do not hesitate to contact the office on 0161 437 4419.
Kind Regards
Michaela
