Soft mattress

Hi for the last 6 years i have had quite a few mattresses never finding a comfortable one as our last bed we had over 15 yrs was a Myers and was so comfortable, recently I’ve had bed in a box a Simba hybrid luxe currently on trial I’ve had it 10 days and it’s bulging on one side, I’m only 11stone so can’t understand why it’s doing this my husband is 13 stone and his side hasn’t changed, obviously I’m sending it back as soon as I can find something comfortable, I have lost faith completely in bed shops, it’s a nightmare trying to find anything to suit! Please can you advise I get pressure pain in my hips and shoulders so need something I can sink into a little, it’s actually very stressful as I don’t know where to turn for a comfortable nights sleep! Seems there are very few Soft mattresses available, without paying fortune. Help please.

Thank you for your question. It is lovely to hear from you again, I am sorry to hear that you have not been able to find a comfortable mattress since you were last in touch.
Not many manufacturers make really soft upholstery layers, as these tend to compress quite quickly without any supporting layers. Our softest mattress is the Artisan Luxury, in which we have sandwiched the soft wool and cotton layers with horsehair and horsetail to support the soft layers, however, this gives the mattress a softer medium level of comfort. It is always better to add additional comfort layers, such as mattress toppers, that can be replaced without having to replace the whole mattress.
The Simba Hybrid Luxe mattress has a medium overall feel. It is clear that this is too firm for you, as you are experiencing pressure point pain in your shoulders and hips. This happens to side sleepers when there is not enough cushioning for their shoulders and hips to sink into.

At your body weights, you both require a medium spring tension to provide the correct level of support. The spring tension does not determine how the mattress feels, it is the upholstery layers on top of the springs.
As none of our mattresses would provide you with a soft enough level of comfort, there is a company called Enchanted House that sells softer mattresses.
