Dual firmness mattresses

Thank you for your question. The comfort layers on top of the springs determine how the mattress feels. Unfortunately, it is not possible to make a mattress with differing upholstery layers on each side. When a couple have different comfort preferences, the best option is to purchase a mattress that is suitable for the person who prefers it firmer than the other person, which can be softened with a separate mattress topper for the other person, as it is not possible to firm up a mattress that feels too soft.

The spring tension is based on your height and body weight to provide the correct level of support. We can put different springs in each half of the mattress if one person is over 17 stone and the other is under. We can make a dual spring tension in a zip and link in the Origins range. Zip and link mattresses are ideal if you have limited access to your room of choice. They are also much easier to turn over as you are only turning half a mattress at a time, and they eliminate motion disturbance. In the Artisan range, which is our natural fibre range, we can make a dual spring tension in both a one-piece mattress and a zip and link. Natural fibres provide a cooler sleeper surface and help you to regulate your body temperature. They are also more durable, which means the lifespan of the mattress will be much longer.
