A customer asked

I think that I should replace my mattress for my adjustable double bed.

I am the only user - about 10st7lb.

Most nights the adjustable facility is used as I sit up in bed to watch TV.

Please can you advise me what mattress would be most suitable.

Thank you

Hi Mrs Law,

Latex core 18cm

Thank you for your question.  For adjustable beds, we usually recommend a foam based mattress, particularly latex as these are the most responsive and robust which is key when the mattress is being adjusted and moved on a frequent basis.  You also need to bear in mind the weight limits for your adjustable mattress which usually come with the instructions.

John Ryan Fusion 6 Mattress

I would recommend the Fusion 5 from our latex range.  This reduced height mattress has a progressive medium support, which is correct for an individual of your body weight.  The weight of this mattress in a double size is 35 - 38 kg. The Fusion range of mattresses are 100% natural solid core latex that is more responsive and less heat retentive than memory foam.

If you would like to discuss the suitability of the mattress call our friendly team on 0161 437 4419.  Our office hours are 8 am – 8 pm Monday to Friday and 10 am – 4 pm Saturday and Sunday,

Kind Regards

Michaela
