Thank you for contacting us regarding a natural fibre mattress.

As you have stated, we do not deliver outside of the United Kingdom as this can be extremely expensive from a business point of view.

As you are looking at the Artisan Luxury mattress within our range, this mattress does have a similar construction to a Vi Spring mattress called The Vi Spring Devonshire and we know from experience that there are few Vi Spring stores within the United States.   If you go onto the Vi Spring website, they do have a store locator and hopefully you will find a Store near to where you are located.

When choosing a new mattress, you need to ensure that not only do you receive the correct level of support, but also the correct level of comfort.

Support is provided by the internal spring unit and is based on heights and body weights whereas the upholstery fillings which are on top of those springs provides the level of comfort and this is dictated by sleeping positions.

The Vi Spring Devonshire provides a softer level of comfort which is suitable for side sleepers however if you are a back or front sleeper then you would require a slightly firmer level of comfort so that your back or front does not sink into the comfort layers too far otherwise this can create problems with your back.  You need to ensure that you do choose the level of comfort which is suitable for your sleeping positions to avoid any issues with your neck and spine.

You also need to ensure that you choose the correct type of base for the mattress to go onto as this can affect the overall feel of the mattress.   Both ourselves and Vi Spring pair our natural fibre mattresses with a sprung divan base which cushions the mattress.   They can go onto a platform or slatted base but this will firm the internal support up slightly.
