Alternative to the Artisan 1500 Mattress

The Origins Pocket 1500 is made to suit the average body weight and provide a medium feel, although the heavier you get (14-16 stone) the softer it will feel. The mattresses in this range come with a medium spring tension as standard and cannot be changed to a soft tension but can be increased to a firm tension for heavier individuals.

The Artisan 1500 is a handcrafted natural and synthetic fibre mattress. The natural fibre content is beneficial to those who suffer with night sweats as natural fibres wick away heat providing a cooler sleep surface. The Artisan range is available in different spring tensions (soft, medium & firm) to suit the specific requirement of the customer. The correct spring tension is determined by your body weight.

Our Origins Platform top mattress base is ideal for our origins range and all other types of mattresses. Placing a mattress on a platform divan will firm up the overall feel of the mattress slightly.

Our Artisan Sprung Bases offer the ultimate in mattress base design. Providing an even more luxurious responsive feel to your mattress. This base is suitable for any of our pocket sprung mattresses. Placing a mattress on a sprung divan will soften up the overall feel of the mattress slightly.

Both of the mattresses you have mentioned would be suitable to be placed on top of either base. Without knowing your body weights and preferred feel it is difficult to suggest which option would be more suited to you.
