Hi John. First of all, congratulations on an excellent website - all information has been very helpful with my new mattress search. I would like to get some advice regarding the Artisan 1500 vs Hypnos Orthos Wool mattress comparison (firm tension). I am leaning towards getting yours but found a real bargain on the Hypnos in question.

Thank you for the compliment in respect of our web site.
As you will know from viewing the details of our Artisan 1500, we provide specific information in respect of upholstery layers in terms of GSM (grams per square metre) whereas, such detailing is not available in respect of Hypnos products, which makes any form of comparison impossible. Likewise, I am unable to provide an opinion as to quality and performance in respect of a product for which the details are vague.
I would say that any product with the word ortho or orthos in the name is likely to be on the firm side. I cannot say whether this would be suitable for you or whether the Artisan 1500 in a firm spring tension would be appropriate without knowledge of your body weight(s).
