Artisan Natural choices, please can you help?
Hi,
I weight about 57kg 5ft5 and my partner weighs about 49kg 5ft2.
We are looking at the Artisan Natural king size. We are also thinking of getting the divan base with it which is the springs/" class="" >pocket spring (the best one) and read that it also softens the mattress.
We both like to sleep on our sides, and I can sleep any positions.
We don't want it too soft but also don't want it firm. In Bensons for Bed that is about rating 3 from 1 to 5.
We are stuck between "soft/medium" and "medium" tension. Which would you recommend?
Also how big of a difference in comfort is the Origins Pocket 1500 compared to the Artisan Natural? I've never slept in an all-natural bed I believe. Been in the same bed since I was probably 6 (mattress was changed though when I was in my 20s with the same kind) and I'm 30 now! Are natural fillings cooler? My budget was initially about £1000 but have to think hard if the Artisan Natural is worth it.
Hi Harry,
Thanks for taking the time to provide information to us. I will definitely be able to point you in the right direction.
At the heights and body weights you have provided, a medium would be suitable as I believe the soft spring tension will ultimately be too soft for you based on your sleeping preferences needs and habits. From here, you do not need to concentrate on the spring tension anymore. The top layers of the mattress (upholstery) are where you will find your desired feel in the mattress.

With you both being side sleepers the Artisan Naturals will be more than suitable. The upholstery layers of the mattress are designed to allow you to sink into the upper layers of the mattress allowing your shoulders hips and knees to sink alleviating any potential pressure point pains.

The Origins Pocket 1500 and the Artisan Naturals are both the medium in the upholstery layers in their ranges. Although the Artisan Naturals is superior due to the natural fibres used and the spring unit. The natural fibres provide a much cooler sleep surface than the synthetic fibre Origins Pocket 1500. This, in turn, extends the longevity of the mattress which is reflected in the guarantee. The springs used in the Naturals is a calico encased pocket spring unit designed to individually support each sleeper, whereas with the Origins Pocket 1500 spun-bond spring unit you have a spring system that works as one unit.
I hope this helps if you have any further questions please don't hesitate to ask
