Hello,Keen om the artisan 004 mattress and I like the comparison to vispring matresses. Our existing bed is a wooden slat base so which firmness should we go for if its a medium firmness using your scale (and i presume for divans).I am 5'11 and 14 stone and my wife would also come under the medium rating for your mattresses.Let me know what you think.Kind regards,Brendan

Hi Brendan,

Thanks for getting in touch.

The mattress will feel firmer on a bed frame than it would on a sprung divan but we would still recommend that you go for a medium tension.

At your height and body weight you are roughly the same shape as me and that is what would suit me best so you have my very personal recommendation;

Bodyweight Spring tension
Upto 16 Stone / 50-101kg Medium (1.4mm)
16 Stone / 101kg Upwards Firm (1.6mm)
Available in Bespoke Products (Please Call) Soft (1.2mm)

I would also advise that you put something over your slats to protect the underside of your mattress. Please read this post here that explains it in detail.

I hope this helps but if you have any further queries please don't hesitate to contact the office on 0161 437 4419.

Kind Regards, Ryan.
