Difference in base springs and how does it effect a mattress ?

Thank you for your enquiry via our website.  The choice of which type of base to opt for is personal preference on how you would like your pocket sprung mattress to feel.  
 

 
Most mattresses are suitable for all bases but will have vastly different feels. A sprung base will soften the overall feel of your mattress while a platform divan will firm up the spings slightly.
