We have two ranges of mattresses which are suitable for slatted bases.

Our Origins Range and our Artisan Range of mattresses are traditional pocket sprung mattresses.

In the Origins range, I would recommend that you have a look at our Origins Pocket Reflex 1000.  This mattress has a firmer feel in the comfort layers and is one that we recommend for holiday lets and guest houses as it is a really great all rounder and takes a large range of body weights.  It is also an extremely comfortable mattress.

In the Artisan Range, I would recommend having a look at the Artisan Bespoke.  This mattress has firm upholstery layers and has 100% natural fillings.  We can change the spring tension in this mattress to suit body weights and would advise having a medium spring tension which will give the correct support for you both.

As you have a slatted base, it would be recommended that if you do purchase any of mattresses from the Fusion Range, that you place either MDF or Hardboard over the slats to make a more solid base.  MDF/Hardboard does not need to be very thick, anything between 3mm and 5mm.
