The first thing to say is that we are unable to provide any form of comparison to your Hypnos product because they do not publish full details of construction and upholstery in terms of GSM (grams per square metre). We do not make any memory foam mattresses for the reasons detailed in this article.

With your particular body weights we would suggest that you need a split spring tension mattress, firm for you and medium for your wife. Such mattresses are only available in our Artisan range in a one-piece in king size and above. Please view the Artisan Luxury, which can have the spring tension selected to suit and has the softest natural upholstery in the range, making it ideal for side sleepers. As you are wanting to purchase a super king size I would point out that because we use so much in terms of upholstery within our mattresses they do not bend. If there are any access issues with getting the mattress to the room of your choice it may be necessary to purchase a zip and link set.
