Whilst we can offer relative comparisons to some Vi-Spring mattresses,  comparing sprung edge bases against bases its not that straightforward.

Our sprung bases are classed as true edge bases which means that there is a firm piece of wood around the edge of the base with the springs sitting generally in the middle.

Whilst a base can change the feel of a mattress by making it feel softer if sprung edge, it's not as noticeable a difference as say the feel of different comfort layers in the top layers of a mattress ( polyester vs horsehair for example),  It's a lot more subtle.

Bases are less complex and not as varied as say a mattress would be.  Therefore there is not as significant a difference to really compare to when comparing handmade pocket sprung edge bases.  It would be far easier if it was a cheap slatted pine frame vs pocket sprung for example!

The advice would be to compare our specifications to whatever detail you have been given by Vi-spring or other bespoke bed manufacturers.
