Is the vegan mattress completely non toxic? Does it contain polyester?

Thank you for your question. The upholstery layers of the Artisan Latex mattress are constructed with 100% plant fibres. We use a plant based fire retardant for our Artisan range.

The overall feel of this mattress is slightly firmer than a true medium. This makes it ideal for all sleep positions as there is cushioning for the shoulders and hips from the cotton and bamboo layers in the top layers for side sleepers. The supporting layers of 100% natural latex, organic flax and coconut coir prevent front and back sleepers from sinking in too much. To keep this mattress vegan-friendly, we use polyester tufts instead of the wool tufts we normally use for our Artisan natural fibre range.

This mattress has handmade vanadium coated calico pocket springs. The spring tension of these springs should be determined by your height and body weight to provide you with the correct level of support. The medium spring tension supports body weights up to 17 stone, depending on your height, and the firm spring tension supports body weights between 17 stone and 22 stone, also depending on your height.
