Dear Sirs, if money was no object, which it is a little, which mattress is best? I prefer a firm feel/support mattress and weigh approx. 13st.As owners of a bed company, which mattress do you have at home? Many thanks,Simon.

Hi Simon,

Thank you for your enquiry.

Which at best is very subjective, there are people who have only ever had latex, and will not change to anything else and vice versa.

Please see the link here which explains latex in more detail and this link here regarding natural upholstery.

Bodyweight Spring tension
Upto 16 Stone / 50-101kg Medium (1.4mm)
16 Stone / 101kg Upwards Firm (1.6mm)
Available in Bespoke Products (Please Call) Soft (1.2mm)

We note that although you have indicated that you would prefer a firm feel, you actually fall right in the middle of the medium spring tension bracket.

You ought to chose a mattress which has the correct spring tension/feel for yourself together with the most suitable comfort layers in the upholstery.

The level of comfort is different with different mattresses and even though you can get differences in latex, they tend to provide a similar type of feel due to the density of the latex.
So, whilst not actually choosing one over the other, we would tend towards pocket sprung.

We would say that unless you have had a latex or foam mattress before, it may be difficult to get used to the new feel that they provide compared to your current mattress.

The same could be said about buying a new pocket sprung mattress, however, we are confident that if you call our office to discuss your requirements in more detail, we will be able to guide you to the best product for you.

Please view the best sellers detailed below and then call our office to obtain that specific advice referred to.

Kind Regards Gary
