Looking at Somnus Connoisseur mattress

Hi, What an amazing amount of information!
We have a kaymed king size bed with pillow topper (ahhhh, now realise the error in this from your info!). Anyway we totally love it but they no longer make it and we want a superking bed now. Today we tried a few mattresses and liked the Somnus Connoisseur 6500 at £1650. This no longer appears on their website and I'm worried after someone commenting about a bad Somnus experience. Is this a reasonable choice and do you have a comparable mattress?

Thank you for getting in touch, I am glad that you found the information on our site about "pillow tops" helpful and that this has now directed you away from such mattresses.
We are unable to advise whether this is a reasonable choice of mattress for you for two main reasons, firstly because we are unaware of your body weights, although the mattress is advertised as a soft to medium feel and secondly because there is no breakdown by way of GSM (grams per square metre) of the fillings. This second reason is why we are unable to provide a comparison to one of our mattresses.
We have two different ranges of pocket sprung mattresses. The Origins range is synthetic fibres and the Artisan range is naturals fibres.
